Terms of Service
These terms cover what you can and can't do with MinecraftRender. By using the service you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
Last updated: 2026-04-16.
The service
MinecraftRender is a free 3D rendering service for Minecraft skins, with a browser-based pose editor (the Studio) and a public HTTP API. There is no account system, no payment, and no tier system. Everyone uses the same service on the same terms.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We try to avoid breaking changes to published shortcodes and public API endpoints, but we can't guarantee indefinite stability of either.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use MinecraftRender to:
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with rate limits or caching (e.g. by rotating IPs specifically to exceed limits).
- Send automated traffic that could reasonably be expected to degrade the service for others.
- Submit requests designed to harass, impersonate, or defame a specific person (for example, rendering a named player in a deliberately offensive scene).
- Upload, publish, or embed content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or promotes hate, violence, or sexual content involving minors.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or extract bulk data from the service in ways not supported by the documented API.
We may block IPs, remove shortcodes, or take other proportionate action if we believe the service is being misused. We don't need to warn you first, though we generally will where it's practical.
Your content
When you publish a scene to the gallery via Share, you:
- Confirm that you have the right to publish the pose data, props, and any uploaded assets.
- Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and render the scene for the duration the shortcode is published — this is what makes the scene renderable by you and others.
- Accept that other users may render your template with their own players, and that those renders may be shared elsewhere.
You remain the owner of your content. You can request removal of a template you published at any time via Discord.
Third-party content and copyright
The renders produced by MinecraftRender incorporate Minecraft skins and Character Creator / Marketplace content that belong to their respective authors (players, skin artists, Marketplace creators). MinecraftRender does not claim ownership of that content.
If you render someone else's skin or Marketplace model, you are responsible for respecting the original author's licence. In particular, paid Bedrock Marketplace content is subject to licence terms set by the Marketplace creator; we do not have authority to grant you rights to it.
If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, contact us via Discord with the specific shortcode and a description of the issue. We'll investigate promptly.
Using the API
The public API is free to use within the limits described in the API documentation. You may integrate it into personal projects, websites, Discord bots, and similar applications without asking. Please don't:
- Redistribute renders as your own original work.
- Build a public "mirror" that simply re-serves our renders.
- Present the service as your own (see Affiliation notice).
Commercial use of renders is permitted as far as our service is concerned, subject to the rights of the underlying skin/model author — see Third-party content.
Availability
We operate the service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, specific performance, or the indefinite availability of any particular endpoint or shortcode. Upstream services we depend on (Mojang, Microsoft Persona, GeyserMC, etc.) occasionally have outages that affect our ability to resolve players or fetch skins; when that happens, requests may fail until the upstream recovers.
Liability
MinecraftRender is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including (but not limited to) lost data, lost revenue, or incorrect renders.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Affiliation notice
MinecraftRender is an independent project. Minecraft, the Minecraft logo, Character Creator, Marketplace, Bedrock Edition, Java Edition, and related names and imagery are trademarks of Mojang Synergies AB and Microsoft Corporation. This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang or Microsoft.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our Discord, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Your continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the service or these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law grants you rights that cannot be overridden.
Questions?
If anything here is unclear, ask us on Discord — we'd rather answer upfront than have anyone confused about what they can and can't do.
